In a tweet, Elon Musk said he felt there was a drug that could help fight coronavirus. He also quoted a research paper on Twitter in support of the claim.




According to that study, Mask said that a drug called chloroquine could fight against coronavirus and could prove effective against Covid-1. He shared the Google Docs link to the study with the tweet.

The study is titled 'An Effective Treatment for Coronavirus (Covid-1)'. Researchers James M. Todaro and Gregory J. Rigano have studied at Stanford University School of Medicine, UAB School of Medicine, researchers at the National Academy of Sciences.

The summary of that study is the latest guidance from a recent report from South Korea and China that says chloroquine is an effective antiviral therapy treatment against coronavirus. The patient is recovering better from this medication and has less time in the hospital. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found that chloroquine has a strong potential as a prophylactic mechanism for coronavirus in the laboratory. Chloroquine is an inexpensive, globally available drug that has been used for many years in various diseases, including malaria.
